Need Feedback!

I need some feedback here. Somehow, I managed to completely screw up my previous theme. I have no idea how it happened, but it did and there's no fixing it. Not awesome. So, I'm looking for something new, not because I necessarily wanted to, but out of duress. Broken theme is broken.

So, what do you think of this theme? It's neat, but is it functional? Help me out here. Can you easily find the comment button? Is the theme easy to navigate?

I like how clutter-free and simple it is, while still being really unique. Unfortunately, I can't decide if it's too unique. Let me know.

UPDATE:

I changed the theme that I was originally seeking feedback on, but I'd still like to hear how you like this one. I'm looking for something that suits me. So, who knows how long it'll be here. I really like it, though. It's still simple, but it's more functional than the previous.

If you're interested in seeing the previous theme, the one I was on the fence about, it's this one: http://carolinethemes.com/2012/11/04/spun/ (Which I still love, by the way).

Thanks.

  1. Feedback about Spuns: Very unique, love the concept, but I think if I were a visitor who landed on that page, I would have no idea I was on a blog and I would immediately close the window. Plus navigating through that theme would definitely take some getting used to.

Feedback about this theme: Love the colors, the simplicity, the airiness, and especially that woman silhohuette! The only thing I can think of to say is that your post titles are significantly larger than the title of your blog, which at first glance might lead a new visitor to think that your post title is actually your blog title. But it would only take a second or two more for them to see that that's not the case, so I don't really view this as a problem. Overall the layout is very pretty with just the right touch of 'unique.'

  3. The consensus about Spun seemed to be that it was neat, but not very functional. Since I had to agree, particularly since I was attracted to it for it's visual strengths, rather than it's usefulness, I did away with it. This theme didn't come with that pretty Victorian woman up there, it had a different image. But, I just loved it so much, I had to use it. I think this theme will stick around for a while. ;)

  4. I checked out both! "Spun" was aesthetically appealing, but a bit confusing. I, of course, would have taken the time to figure it out, but less loyal readers may have given up before having a chance to read the content.
This theme is so...you. It has such a crisp and classy feel to it. It also goes so well with your blog title.
